End of Season

There are only two weekends left in the regular season and about a month left until I'm laid off from Stevens. I have lined up some summer work and will be a Wilderness Ranger in Skykomish, just west down Highway 2 from my cabin. So yes, this means I will be living at the summit of Stevens Pass for the indefinite future. This is fairly unique as there are not many permanent dwellings in Washington State that sit at over 4000 feet. We've had an especially heavy snow year (currently 536" snow fall with a 130" base). Even after the lifts close, there will be plenty of snow to play in, likely until after the official start of summer. Stay tuned for some pictures that highlight my experiences this winter...
